Project Title:     Consideration of an Amendment to Recently Revised Article 3 - 3.1 Use Table and 3.4.8 Public & Civic Uses and Article 4 - Addition of 4.10 Major Utility Overlay

Project Description:     This proposed amendment is needed to clarify the definition of a Major Utility, and subsequent standards required for a Major Utility Overlay. The County Commission adopted the code revisions at the October 1, 2024 Regular Meeting. It was determined by Planning staff that the language as adopted is unclear and needs to be amended. The County Attorney determined that an amendment to clarify the definition is enough of a change to constitute a re-approval process through a public hearing at both the Planning Commission and the County Commission.
